www.act.org- American College Testing (ACT) Information and Registration

ACT is an independent, not-for-profit organization that provides more than a hundred assessment, research, information, and program management services in the broad areas of education and workforce development.

www.collegeboard.com- Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) Information and Registration

The College Board is a national nonprofit association of 4,200 schools, colleges, universities, and other educational organizations whose mission is to prepare, inspire, and connect students to colleges and other post-secondary educational opportunities.

In addition to information on the AP exams, this College Board site provides information on the courses and the number of credits that students can earn by taking AP tests. It also tells you what score you must achieve on the AP exam to receive these credits. To access this information under the tools section select "college search". Enter the school name under "College Quickfinder" and click "go". Click on the school name to access information for that school. Click on the "Tests" in the menu options to view AP information specific to that college.

Shorten your path to a college degree -- with CLEP! The College-Level Examination Program® or CLEP provides students of any age with the opportunity to demonstrate college-level achievement through a program of exams in undergraduate college courses. There are 2,900 colleges that grant credit and/or advanced standing for CLEP exams.

Go College is a searchable guide to colleges, but it also helps users prepare for the SAT and ACT exams, allowing free access to practice tests, though registration is required. Check the site's front page regularly for the dates.

This site provides free online practice tests for ACT, Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), border patrol, civil service, corrections officers, federal clerical, firefighter, paramedic, police officer, police sergeant, postal worker, real estate agent, real estate broker, SAT, and Spanish courses.

MEAP Practice Test

This site offers additional practice for the MEAP test by providing released items from previous tests. After you click on the site, scroll to "Released Items." on left side of screen and choose High School Tests.

Test Prep Review offers free practice for many tests including ACT's, SAT's, GRCC's placement test (Accuplacer), and the ASVAB (a test desigend for student interested in enlisting in the military).
