To set up the Works Cited page using Microsoft Word, use the following speed keys as keystroke combinations.
- Ctrl 2 - sets double space
- Ctrl E - moves the cursor to the middle to
center the title.
- Type "Works Cited" and strike enter
- Ctrl L - moves cursor back to the
left side
- Ctrl T - strike this combination only once even though it appears
that nothing happens. The computer is now set up to indent the second and
successive lines a half inch.
- Type the works cited entry. Strike enter only
to move to the next entry and NOT at the end of every line.
Hints:
Remember to alphabetize your entries by the first word (except a, an, the).
Do not number your entries.
Generally, each entry should have three periods: after the author's name, after the title, and at the end.
