We're Moving!

(But we’re not changing our address!)

Dear Parents,

You may know that during the last few years, the South Christian High School Board as wrestled with the possibility of building a new school on our Kalamazoo Avenue property. Since the economic downturn of 2008, the conversation has changed and last week the Board decided to stay put—but not without some dramatic changes we think you will love!

The board is looking at plans which would transform our current building into a much improved and beautiful educational facility that will serve the SCHS community for years to come. Highlights of the plan so far:

• 50% of the cost of new construction 
• Stewardly “reuse” of our current building
• Building design based on current educational practice
• Dramatic improvement of the exterior appearance
• Significant technology upgrades

Lots of work needs to be done yet—including finding ways for you to get involved—but we wanted you to be some of the first to know of this decision!
