Punctuality and regular attendance by all students is encouraged for
these reasons:
Regular consistent attendance promotes good learning and helps students
achieve their full potential.
Good work and attendance habits cultivated in school will help students
prepare for higher education and careers.
Attendance records are important to college admissions counselors
and prospective employers. They invariably inquire about a student's
attendance record as they consider admission or employment. To efficiently
run the school and because the faculty and administration care about
your son or daughter, it is important for you to notify the school if
he/she will be absent or late. This policy is stated in full in the
Student Handbook. Please refer
to it and be aware of the procedures involved if your son or daughter
is absent. Also note the differences between an excused or unexcused
absence.
