Professional Biography

I graduated from Calvin College in 1970 with a BS in education. I began my teaching career at Cutlerville Christian as a science and math teacher. I was at Cutlerville for 22 years in their middle school. I moved to South Christian as a math teacher in 1992 when the ninth grade was moved to the high school. I have thoroughly enjoyed my years in Christian education. My memories are very positive, and I have never questioned my career choice.

Personal Biography

My wife, Joan, and I were married in 1970, and we now have three children and 9 grandchildren. I enjoy many sports both as a participant and a spectator. My time with my family is something that I cherish and I now enjoy watching my grandchildren grow up and begin their relationship with Christ.

Faith

All of us are gifts from God. Over the last 39 years I have had the joy of getting to know many students. I have seen students with a variety of abilities and gifts from God. Beside the math that is taught in my classroom, I strive to show my love for God as I interact with all of my students. Each student is treated with love and respect in my classroom.
