Professional Biography |
I have been involved with and in Christian education for fifty-one years. My Christian education started at Kelloggsville Christian elementary school and continued through South Christian and Calvin College. My experience as a teacher in Christian education began at Moline Christian in the fall of 1976. After seven years at Moline, I spent the next four years at Byron Center Christian before coming to South in 1987.
Personal Biography |
I was one of four children who attended Christian school and Jane, my wife of thirty-six years, was one of ten children who attended South Christian High. She presently teaches third grade at Dutton Christian. Together we sent our three children to Dutton Christian and all three graduated from South Christian.
Faith |
Christian education has always seemed a natural extension of everything I learned in life. At an early age I was taught that “Our World Belongs to God,” not part of it, not what we give or attribute to Him, but every square inch belongs to God regardless of any human action or recognition. I have been taught this truth at home, church and school without contradiction. This is what I wanted for my children and also what I want for my students. This has been and will continue to be the motivating force behind my involvement with Christian education.
