Professional Biography |
I received a B.A. in
Business Education and a Master's degree in Education Technology from Western
Michigan University. I taught
various subjects to 6 through 8th graders at East Martin Christian
School for three years. I taught math and technology for one year at First
Assembly Christian School in Kalamazoo. I have been at South for over 11
years teaching technology and business classes.
I also serve as the school technology specialist and manager.
I have enjoyed both aspects of my job here at South.
It allows me to work in the two areas that I find most fulfilling.
Personal Biography |
My wife’s name is Julie (TeHennepe).
We have six children with ages ranging from 17 to 6.
We spend time riding horses, camping, and playing various sports.
I enjoy working on our house, golfing, and goofing around with the kids.
Faith |
I believe God gives us
purpose for our lives. We need to be
ready to serve Him in any and all circumstances. I challenge students to be
prepared for whatever God gives them and wherever He puts them.
I feel we are blessed to have a Christian school where we can strive to
honor and glorify God at all times.
To me, it is important that our faith is woven throughout all the subjects that
we teach and that we see God’s hand in all aspects of the world He has created.
My family and I attend East Martin Christian Reformed Church.
I serve as an Elder.
