Professional Biography |
I have a Bachelor’s degree from Calvin College with a Social Studies major and Educational Endorsements in Cognitive Impairment and Emotional Impairment. I taught in Canada for 9 years in Elementary Education and Special Education and more recently 17 years at South Christian High School in Educational Support Services. I support students needing moderate to significant intervention in the regular classroom, so that these students can fully participate along with their peers in the life of South Christian High School.

I am married with 4 children, one son-in-law and a beautiful granddaughter.

Everything I am, do, and have is God's and I am honored to serve HIM! He is the Author, Creator, and Sustainer of everything that has meaning in my LIFE! Praised be His name for creating so many wonderful teens!
My teaching is continually impacted by the following two Bible verses: Whatever you do for ...those who are in need of a friend, hurting, new to this country, alone, struggling with abilities/disabilities, looked down upon, overlooked, or ignored…You do it for ME (God)! (paraphrase of Matt. 25:40) Serve wholeheartedly, as if serving the Lord, not people... (Eph.6:7)
