I received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Calvin College and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from M.S.U. (certified K-12).
Personal Biography |
I have been married to Cindi for 26 years. We met and married in college. We have two sons—Alex and Andy who both graduated from SCHS
I grew up in DeMotte, Indiana (farm country) and as a teenager worked on my father’s pheasant farm. I enjoy doing service work, collecting M&M’s paraphernalia, reading the writings of Clive Cussler, Philip Yancey, and John Ortberg, and watching sports (especially the Detroit Pistons).
Faith |
I hold Scripture to be the inspired Word of God and the basis for all of life. I believe that being an effective Christian includes an on-going reflective response to the sin (guilt)/ salvation (grace)/ service (gratitude) Christian worldview. I believe that the life and words of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are the example that I and those around me are called to emulate.
I enjoy interacting with young people. Daily I am encouraged by the positives that my students bring to the classroom. Together we discuss beliefs and worldviews, analyzing the world around us. We also discuss the opportunities that we have to be effective in God’s world, using God’s Word as our guide.
