Professional Biography |
I attended East Christian High School (GRCHS presently) and graduated from Calvin College in 1974 with a BS in education and a major in Science. I taught middle school Math and Science for one year at Dutton Christian School and then started my family. In 1990 I was hired as an aid in the third grade at Byron Center Christian School; this sparked my passion for teaching and I knew that I wanted to teach again. I attended Western Michigan to continue my education. I came to South in 1994 to work in the Study Center and also
to be assistant coach for the JV basketball team.
Personal Biography |
I married Dennis right after we graduated from Calvin College and we have 4 children, Joe, Matt, Abby, and Katie. We also have 4 grandchildren and have a new profession,
being grandparents. This profession is wonderful, and we love it. I also have a passion for coaching basketball and playing softball.
Faith |
God has given me the opportunity to impact students who need help in their academic struggles at South Christian. Students must learn to advocate for themselves in their future life skills. Through my relationships with students I hope they discover their unique gifts and talents and utilize them for the glory of God.
