Professional Biography |
My undergraduate degree is a B.A. from Calvin College with a major in Art and a minor in English. I have a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Curriculum Studies from Calvin College, and I have done post graduate work through the Art Institute of Chicago.
Personal Biography |
Painting in acrylics and oils is a passion of mine, as well as doing interior design work. I am an avid bicyclist. Spending time with my husband and two boys is very important to me. We like to spend time outdoors biking, camping and hiking and then refueling with great food since I also love to cook!
Faith |
My faith journey has been about learning to trust in the Lord with all my heart, and I am led to challenge my students to do the same. This begins with coming to an understanding of who we are as children of God by asking essential questions about our relationship with Him and our individual Christian walk as His disciples. I like to challenge my students to consider these concepts in relation to the visual arts and the culinary arts, my classroom disciplines.
