After completing my BA in Religion and Spanish at Calvin College, I continued my education at Calvin Seminary. There I earned a Masters of Divinity with a concentration in Pastoral Care. Because of my love for helping people, I spent a year as a chaplain at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services where I completed my Clinical Pastoral Education. That same year, I became an endorsed chaplain by the CRC Chaplaincy and Care Department and was ordained as Minister of the Word by the CRCNA. I then spent some time substitute teaching in the Spanish department at South Christian. Continuing to follow my passion of helping young people in crisis, I worked as a chaplain at Wedgwood Christian Services. I am excited to return to South and to be able to impact and guide the students’ spiritual journeys during their formative years.
