Working in Christian education has always been my lifelong dream and ultimately was my privilege for many years. After graduating from Dordt University with secondary education majors in History and Theology, my wife and I were excited to get our first teaching jobs. However, instead of teaching at the high school level, this first job was to teach middle school classes and be the principal of the school. It turns out that my sense of calling was fairly accurate, but God had other plans for all the specific details. That first job was the beginning of 39 uninterrupted years of service in Christian school administration. The last 22 of those years were spent right here in our own South Suburban family of Christian schools. Along the way, I received my Masters degree in school administration from the University of Northern Iowa.

Faith Statement
South Christian School’s mission, “To equip students to live Christ-centered lives and serve God to their greatest potential”, has governed my entire life. I accepted Christ during my youth and since that time have sought to live for him and serve our heavenly Father. What a blessing it has been to know him and to live life with the assurance of salvation gained through his name.
