I graduated from Grand Valley with bachelor’s degrees in both accounting and nursing. I began my career as a nurse in the Medical ICU. In 2007 God introduced me to an amazing young student who would change my life! I began working with this student at Byron Center Christian Elementary School. He and I have journeyed together all the way through high school, which is how I ended up at South Christian. I am very thankful for my job at South and deeply believe in its mission to provide an excellent education in a loving, Christian environment. I now spend two days per week as a nurse and three days at South Christian as a paraprofessional in the Inclusive Education Program. I love both jobs and thank God for the students whom I work with. They inspire me on a daily basis!
In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends. I enjoy downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, biking, hiking, and walking. I am grateful for each day and try to stay focused on why I am here… “And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8.
