Biography

I graduated from Unity Christian High School in 2010. After high school I worked for my family’s business for 2 years. I never would have thought that I would become a teacher, but after having my life changed by my shop teacher (Rich Hunefeld) throughout high school and the impact he had on me, I really felt that God called me to do the same thing for other students. I am currently enrolled at Western Michigan University in their Industrial & Technology program. I only have a few classes left until I am finished.

Faith Statement

I am a broken person…fixed by Jesus. I have always admired the level of thinking God has made us capable of doing and the fact that we can invent, design, problem solve, etc. I used to get upset towards God for giving me so many gifts and talents. It would make it so hard for me to see my fit in God’s Kingdom and what my purpose was. God puts us in certain situations for a reason. The older I get, the easier it is for me to look back and see how God has used me. It makes it easier for me to see how I fit in the Kingdom. It is my goal to help my students see what their gifts are and how they can use them for God’s glory.

“I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong; By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward – to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.” – Philippians 3:13-14 MSG
