SCRIP FUNDRAISING PROGRAM
What is SCRIP?
SCRIP is a simple, no-selling fundraising program that allows families to earn money toward tuition just by making their everyday purchases. Instead of paying with cash, checks, or credit cards, you purchase gift cards at face value and use them for things you already buy, such as groceries, gas, dining, clothing, home improvement items, and more.
South Christian purchases these gift cards from our supplier, Raise Right, at a discounted rate. The difference between the face value and the discounted price becomes an instant rebate that can be applied to your tuition account. Families also have the option to receive a cash rebate.
With access to more than 300 popular brands through Raise Right, it’s easy to incorporate SCRIP into your regular shopping routine. By using SCRIP for your normal weekly purchases, many families earn $500 or more each year toward tuition. It’s an easy way to put your everyday shopping dollars to work!
How Do I Order SCRIP?
There are two convenient ways to order SCRIP:
Paper Order Form – Traditional paper order forms are available in the South Christian main office.
- Submit your completed order form along with cash or a check to the office by 9:00 a.m. every Monday.
- Orders will be available for pickup after 7:00 a.m. on Thursday of the same week.
- Some local retailers are available only through the paper order forms and cannot be ordered online.
- Please check the SCRIP order calendar for weeks when orders will not be placed. If school is closed on a Monday due to snow or another unexpected closure, no SCRIP order will be placed that week.
Online Ordering – Order anytime, day or night through Raise Right at www.raiseright.com.
- To receive your order by Thursday of the same week, online orders must also be placed by 9:00 a.m. on Monday.
- If there is a planned or unplanned school closure and no order is placed that week, your order will be processed with the next scheduled order.
How Do I Create an Account?
- Visit the Raise Right website. Click “Sign Up” at the top of the page.
- Select “Join an Existing Program.”
- Enter South Christian’s enrollment code: 4FE5948B123.
- Complete the required information and set your security questions and answers (answers are case-sensitive).
Once your account is created, the ‘Dashboard’ button allows you to manage your account and change passwords, view account activity, run reports, and view or print previously purchased ScripNow eCards.
There are three ways to place an online order:
- Shop Tab – Browse available brands by category, card type, or rebate percentage.
- Express Order – Quickly add items to your cart when you know exactly what you want to purchase.
- Shopping Lists – Save frequently ordered items for easy reordering and set reminders so you’ll receive an email when it’s time to place your next order.
Types of SCRIP
Physical Cards – Physical Cards are traditional gift cards, just like those you would purchase in a store. When you order physical cards, they will be included in the next scheduled SCRIP order placed on Monday morning and will be available for pickup on Thursday morning.
RaiseRight eCards – RaiseRight eCards are electronic gift cards that can be purchased through raiseright.com. Once purchased, the eCard is delivered directly to your RaiseRight account wallet. You can print the eCard at home and use it in stores just like a physical gift card, or use it for online shopping by entering the card number and PIN during checkout.
Reload and ReloadNow – Reload and ReloadNow are convenient options that allow you to add funds to physical gift cards you have previously purchased through RaiseRight. It’s an easy way to continue earning SCRIP rebates on your everyday purchases without having to order new gift cards each time. A few things to remember when reloading gift cards:
- The first time you reload a card, you will need to register it by entering the card number and assigning it a name for future reload purchases.
- When adding funds, pay attention to the processing timeframe. Some reloads require overnight processing before the funds become available on your card.
How Do I Pay?
If you are placing a paper order, payment must be submitted with your order form and can be made by cash or check.
For online orders, including both physical cards and eCards, you may also pay by check; however, this method can delay order processing and is not recommended. For the fastest and most convenient experience, we encourage you to add your checking or savings account in the Personal Settings section of your RaiseRight account.
You may also choose to pay by credit card, but please note that a processing fee will be added to each transaction.
Using Your Wallet
Your RaiseRight Wallet can be accessed from your Dashboard by clicking the Wallet button in the corner of the screen. Your Wallet stores all of your purchased eCards and provides information about your registered reloadable gift cards, making it easy to manage and access your SCRIP purchases in one convenient location.
You can also access your Wallet through the RaiseRight mobile app. The app is often easier to navigate on your phone than the website and allows you to conveniently view, purchase, and use your gift cards anytime, anywhere.
How Do I Sign Up?
To participate in the SCRIP program, you must complete an enrollment form, regardless of whether you plan to place orders using paper forms or online through RaiseRight.
Enrollment forms are available in the South Christian main office and can also be found on our website. A one-time $10 registration fee must be submitted along with your completed enrollment form.
Once your enrollment form and fee have been received, you’ll be ready to start earning rebates toward tuition through your everyday purchases!
Helpful Hints
- Link your bank account for automatic withdrawals. This allows you to instantly purchase eligible gift cards, increases your earning potential, and reduces the need to plan ahead.
- If you choose not to use automatic withdrawals, plan ahead. South Christian processes SCRIP orders only once each week—on Mondays at 9:00 a.m. Your payment must be received by that time for your order to be processed. Orders received after the deadline will be included in the next scheduled order.
- Not all retailers offer instant purchases. Some retailers only provide physical gift cards, and not every retailer offers eCards or reload options. You can easily view the available options for each retailer by visiting RaiseRight.com.
- Take advantage of the resources available on RaiseRight. The website includes helpful user guides, tutorials, and additional information under the “Learn” tab.
- Explore the full selection of retailers online. The Monday paper order form includes only a portion of the available retailers. RaiseRight offers hundreds of additional gift cards, including many travel-related options. Use the search feature or print a complete retailer list to browse all available certificates.
