I received my B.A. in elementary education from Calvin College and my M.Ed. in K-12 Library/Media Services from Grand Valley State University. Before coming to South Christian, I was a third grade teacher as well as a P-8 Media Specialist. I currently teach technology classes and am in charge of South’s social media accounts. I enjoy watching and/or participating in sports, playing pickleball, wake surfing, and traveling.

Faith Statement
I chose to teach in a Christian school because I want to share the joy of God’s salvation with my students. I can’t imagine teaching students during the excitement of Christmas and joy of Easter without sharing the real reason for the celebration of God’s gift, His Son. As I teach and interact with students and colleagues I strive to live out Colossians 3:23-24. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
