Andrew Preston

Biography

I attended Western Michigan University and Davenport University where I studied education and played lacrosse. I am currently finishing my degree at Grand Rapids Community College. Previously I attended Forest Hills Central High School. I was a part of many extracurricular activities, but one of my favorites was playing on our Special Olympics Unified Basketball team. I recently took the role as one of the assistant coaches of our NEW lacrosse team here at South–Go Sailors! My free time mostly consists of spending time with my three little sisters, Bella, Sophia, and Gracie, or hanging out with my friends.

Faith Statement

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” ~ Thessalonians 5:18 Be grateful for the life He allows us to live, especially in a down moment or area in life. There is a great quote from the movie Evan Almighty: “If somebody prays for patience, does God give them patience, or the opportunity to be patient? If they pray for courage, does he give them courage, or the opportunity to be courageous? If someone prayed for their family to be closer, would he just zap them with warm fuzzy feelings, or give them opportunities to love each other?” He has a plan for everybody; giving thanks and seizing opportunities will lead to a full heart and a happy life! I am blessed to be welcomed to the staff at SC and very excited to use this opportunity to surround myself with more people of the same faith.
