I grew up in Byron Center and am excited to be teaching in my hometown. After graduating from Byron Center High School, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting from Ferris State University. Before entering education, I served as the Head of Marketing for a large farm equipment dealership. During that time, I began teaching Sunday school at my church. It was through that experience that I felt God calling me into the classroom. I accepted a teaching position at South Olive Christian School while earning my teaching certification through Taylor University. My years in the corporate world gave me valuable experiences that I now have the privilege of bringing into the classroom each day.

Faith Statement
I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home, attending GEMS, Vacation Bible School, and Sunday School. As I grew older, my faith deepened as I learned to trust God’s plan for my life. Through every season, He has faithfully guided and provided for me. One verse that continually encourages me is Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
My prayer is that every student who enters my classroom will grow in their faith, discover God’s purpose for their lives, and use the unique gifts He has given them to faithfully serve others and glorify Him in all they do.
