Biography

I graduated from Western Michigan University with a BS in Physical Education and a minor in English. I received my master’s in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State. After I graduated from WMU, I spent three years at Western as an assistant basketball coach. I worked at Jenison High School and then Holland Christian High School, where I coached, taught and worked as the assistant athletic director. I am thrilled to be serving at my alma mater as the athletic director where I can use my passion for athletics to impact the student-athletes, coaches, and community of South Christian. My wife Olivia and I have three kids, Mackezny, Carter, and Drew.

Faith Statement

God is so good! This has been a sentiment that I have felt throughout my life. No matter the good times or bad times, God is omnipresent and never fails to show up. Jeremiah 29:11-13 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart.” My passion in this world is to try and be the hands and feet of Jesus in everything I say and do. God has gifted us with so much and it is our job to give back and serve Him as much as we can. I hope to serve the students, staff, and community at South Christian in a way to make everyone around me see Jesus in a unique way.
