I am originally from the Adirondack Mountains of New York State, but moved to Michigan to attend Calvin College and I’ve been here (mostly) ever since. I received a Bachelors in Music Education from Calvin in 2001. I spent two years teaching choir and music in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and then came back to the States and spent 16 years teaching choir at Hudsonville Christian Middle School. I am a pianist and play professionally in the area. I also enjoy participating in church music through singing and leading a children’s choir at my home church, LaGrave Avenue Christian Reformed Church. My husband and two children and I enjoy heading back to the Adirondack Mountains each summer and relaxing at our favorite beaches.

Faith Statement
Although growing up in a Christian home and considering myself a Christian for my entire life, I have a renewed love for the Lord and desire to know Him better, serve Him more and seek to live how He intends us to live. I am saved by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ and I am eternally grateful for the sacrifice He made on the cross so that we have a hope of a life spent with Him.
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8
