I graduated from Hope College with a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Science and a minor in Biology Education. Having lived abroad and traveled all my life, including attending an international high school, I’ve grown to value meeting people from all different backgrounds and adapting to new environments. I completed my student teaching at Zeeland East High School, where I loved guiding students through hands-on, inquiry-based science and helping them discover their potential in the lab.

Faith Statement
My faith is rooted in the conviction that we are called to “live the life of a missionary” (Galatians 2:20) wherever God places us, using our gifts, curiosity, and experiences as instruments of service. To me, teaching chemistry is a unique privilege because each lesson in the laboratory reveals the order, intentionality, and beauty of God’s creation. I view the classroom as a place of grace, patience, and growth, where challenges and mistakes are not failures but essential steps toward learning and refinement. Just as my own mentors invested in me with patience and unwavering belief, I hope to do the same for my students at South Christian, walking alongside them as they grow into thoughtful scientists, compassionate people, and faithful followers of Christ.
