I graduated from Hope College with a double major in Psychology and Business Management, with an emphasis in Human Resources and Marketing. I started my HR career in 2006 as a Human Resources Assistant for a building supplies distribution company. The majority of my HR career was spent in Human Resources and Payroll at Grand Rapids Community College. My most recent experience is working as a Compensation Analyst for Pine Rest Christian Mental Services. And for the last two years, I’ve also been involved in all the HR work for the business my husband and I own, Dutton Auto Body Shop.

Faith Statement
I am incredibly grateful that I was born into a Christian home, grew up in the Christian Reformed Church, and attended Christian schools my entire life. I have a relationship with Jesus that has deepened significantly throughout my life, and I find great comfort in Psalm 139. I have solely relied on my faith in Jesus numerous times in my life, all without fail. I would love for all my children to learn the importance of Jesus in their lives by how I live my life.
