Faith Statement

At South Christian High School, our mission statement embodies my dedication to live as a humble servant of Christ. Because Jesus saved me, I joyfully serve Him, sharing His works and seeking His comfort and salvation. My role as a counselor allows me to embody this mission through compassion and empathy, guiding students in their personal and spiritual growth. I engage with students authentically, emphasizing that God’s words are meant for everyone. My approach is not of an expert, but as a listener, striving to connect with all students. The Reformed perspective shapes how I support and care for students in every aspect of their lives. Hebrews 6:13-20, especially verse 19, reinforces this with the assurance of God’s promises, describing them as “as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf.”
