After graduating from Hope College I was hired by Belding High School to teach social studies. I spent 14 years in Belding before making the transition to South Christian High School. As a graduate of South Christian (’99), I am truly excited to get back into this community. I am married to Lindsey and we have three amazing children. Lucy, James, and Charlie will be tagging along to many extracurricular events in the coming years! In my spare time, I enjoy DIY projects around my home, reading, fishing, and watching Tigers baseball.

Faith Statement
“But the tax collector stood at a distance, unwilling even to lift up his eyes to heaven. Instead, he beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’” Luke 18:13. The mercy of God has been a reoccurring theme in my life. I am forever amazed by the grace offered by the just and merciful God of the universe through the death and resurrection of Jesus. I am passionate about modeling my faith to young people, and I look forward to the discussions that I will get to have with students during the course of the school year.
